I need help thinking....

So most of the time I want to strangle my dear daughter. I just sit there and wait for her horns to retreat back in to head. Well last night was one of those nights where her horns retreated I asked Shelby about these shelves we put in her closet and she said she just didn't know what she wanted to put on the shelves yet and she just needed time to think, that she needed help thinking.

A few minutes later she came in the room with a book, saying she needed this book to help her think. Well it was a bible! I explained what the bible was and that it was a book about god and she said "God is going to help me think" Then she proceeded to lay down in her bed and "read" the bible!

Yesterday we posted a few items on craigslist. Well the phone rang last night and I thought Chad had answered it! Though I should have known better because I heard pitter patter of little feet from upstairs. A few minutes later Shelby yells down the stairs "It's someone from craigslist!" Well at least she listened to me the day I told her she could answer the phone but could only talk to the people if it was a relative or friend of the family. Anyone else and she had to get us right away!! I have my own secretary now!!

Life is Good

You ever just have one of those days where you arel like, "My life is good"?

Today was one of those days. We woke up (and early, not late like in my dream where we got up late and missed things!) went to a VW show that Chad wanted to and then got to our company picnic at a reasonable time. Shelby pretty much behaved herself and we hung out with our friend Alicia and her son Cameron. This may have helped Shelby behave! Alicia's husband Jon bailed on the picnic (supposedly he was helping a friend move?? But Chad says he never helps people move. But I seem to recall him helping us move! So who knows!) Anyway our company picnic was at Remlinger Farms. It really is a fun place to go! Now it's home to veg with the family!

Tomorrow I hope to scrapbook because I have some stuff I need to make and send to my new pal in Rhode Island. She too is a CTMH consultant and we both joined a secret pal swap last August. So I guess she really isn't a "new" friend since we have been cooresponding for almost a year! It has been so much fun! We have a lot in common (we love anything 80's, have daughters that are both 5 and have the same outlooks on so many things) and it has been fun to develop this new friendship. Too bad she lives in RI!! But we have decided to do monthly swaps and stuff. That should be fun!

So here is a LOVELY pic of me today.

Why don't you have another kid??

I am bored! Why don't you have another kid? I want you to have another one because I am bored being the only kid.

Yes, those are words spoken from my daughter today. She is bored and obviously that is my fault because we have only chosen to have one kid and have not provided her with a lifetime playmate!!

Of course does she realize at this point she would probably still be bored because her sibling would be quite a bit younger then her and not able to play for a few years yet?

Kids say the darndest things! I better go try to curb her boredom so I can at least enjoy my day.
